Remember why you live here?

November 19, 2009 posted 814 days ago Welcome Letter Chris Halleron

Ahhhhhhhhh, Hoboken--famous for Baseball, Frank Sinatra, and the most local political elections we can pack into a calendar year… 2009 has certainly been tumultuous for our Mile Square, but every now and then we need a reminder that it isn't all bad. In fact, a lot of good people are doing a lot of good things in this city, though you rarely get to hear about them.
That's where we come in.

Hoboken deserves a chance to shine the light on itself, and we all know no one else is going to do it for us. But that's part of what makes Hoboken so special--we get it. We can see what Hoboken has going for it, even if others can't. Whether born and raised or fresh out of the U-haul, there's a reason we live here. We appreciate the opportunities, the possibilities, the traditions and the benefits of this extraordinary little enclave.

That's why hMAG is dedicated to Hoboken, exploring anything and everything that positively impacts the community in which we live. If you want to read about agonizing deadlock in city hall, there's a paper for that. If you want to read vitriolic comments trashing restaurants that haven't even opened yet, there's a website for that. But if you want to see the good that happens right outside your door done by those who rise above it all to make the most of themselves and this city, then hMAG is the place to turn.

We thank you for reading, we look forward to hearing from you and we appreciate all you do to make Hoboken, well… Hoboken.

Gratefully yours,
The hMAG Staff
