On Saturday, February 20, 2010, artists Laura Renee Meyerson and Jason Gluskin donated their time and artistic capabilities to the Hoboken University Medical Center Children’s Ward, painting a mural on the 17’ wall of the playroom.

The two artists divided the wall, creating a massive piece after a 48-hour painting marathon in the Pediatrics Ward. Both mentors to local high school students interested in art, Meyerson and Gluskin were assisted by Erica Butts, Peter Imus, and Ivan Sumano, as well as Kaitlin Furo, a member of the hMAG team.

Meyerson took donations around Hoboken in return for adding the names of storefronts into her portion of the mural. Among the contributors were Maxwell’s, Giorgio’s Pasticcerie Italian, Napoli”s Pizza, Spike League, Salon Rouge, Genesis Hair Salon, Schnackenbergs Luncheonette, Right Angle, and Augustino’s Restaurant. After all was said and done, the pediatrics department was able to purchase a new computer for the playroom with the money raised by Meyerson.
