This year South Africa plays host to the most watched event worldwide, The FIFA 2010 World Cup. This place has it all on offer from semi desert to sub tropical, from safari to surfing. Follow the garden route from Cape Town to George, stop at Storms River Bridge it’s bungie time. Continue east to Port Elizabeth and don’t forget to stop at the world famous J-Bay, this time of year it will be cooking, 10-15ft perfect tubes. Watch out for the “jonnies”, a local term for the great white shark. Head north through the Transki, Coffee Bay and finally take a break in Durban. Walk the Golden Mile, watch a game at Jo Kools roof top beach bar, or go uptown for some of the best curry in Africa. Don’t forget to say, “Howzit”.
