If you weren’t already in the know, the Obama Administration has officially named June as National Gay Pride Month. So naturally, Hoboken, a city born into the je nes sais quoi attitude, has put together some events to help celebrate this much anticipated month. Tomorrow, June 24th, represents an important day in Gay Pride Month for Hoboken residents; the Public Library is proud to present musician and performer Annie Lanzillotto to help celebrate LGBT awareness.
Ms. Lanzillotto, born and raised in the Bronx, will be performing with her band at 6 PM in the second floor reading room of the library. Annie has been recognized as both a fellow in the Rockefeller Foundation Next Generation Leadership Program and as a member of Franklin Furnace’s “The History of the Future” series, a collection highlighting the best performance art works of the past twenty-five years.
If relaxing to the sounds of Annie Lanzillotto and her band sounds like the perfect getaway for a Thursday night, please RSVP at 201-420-2347!
