Black and white and art all over – that’s the name of the game at the second “Windows on Washington” exhibition. Hosted by real estate agent, Barbara Tulko, and sponsored by the City of Hoboken and the Office of Cultural Affairs, the Hob’Art Cooperative Gallery’s “Dash of Color” exhibition is about to spice up your weekends.
Dash of Color, curated by Willie Baez, showcases work by Hob’Art artists Myrna E. Micheli, Ann Taricone Kinney, Constance Ftera, Edvard Munch, Starr Tucker-Ortega, Laurel Brooks, Gustavo Diez-Presilla, Ibou Ndove and Laura Renee. All of the pieces in Dash of Color use only the shades black, white and “a dash of color” in the form of landscapes, seascapes, abstracts, photographs, paintings and drawings.
The Dash of Color exhibition will be held at 716 Washington Street and open to the public on Thursday and Fridays from 6-9PM, Saturdays from 1-9PM and Sundays from 1-5PM. The artists showcased in the exhibition will be available to meet at a reception on Friday, September 10 from 6-8PM.
Hob’Art Cooperative Gallery, the first in Hoboken, “exists primarily to serve the community by providing a showcase for fine art… support[ing] local artists in their efforts that their ‘voice’ may be heard.”
For art lovers and Hobokenites looking for something to do from Thursdays-Sundays, the Dash of Color exhibition is not to be missed! For more information on Hob’Art & upcoming showcases, please visit www.hob-art.org.
