Hoboken’s Police Athletic League was chosen as one of approximately 800 youth and amateur football programs to receive a grant for sports equipment by USA Football. Hoboken’s Director of Human Services, Leo Pellegrini, submitted P.A.L. into the drawing last spring and after consideration based on merit and need, P.A.L. was selected as a winner of an equipment grant and 100 tickets to September 2nd’s NY Giants vs. New England Patriots preseason game.

Over the past four years, USA Football and the NFL have given over $3 million to the NFL Youth Football Fund in association with Riddell, “the official helmet and protective equipment partner of USA Football.”

"Even with multiple fundraisers and strict budget adherence, many well-run youth football programs like Hoboken P.A.L. need help to properly equip their teams," USA Football Executive Director Scott Hallenbeck said. "We are proud to assist the kids and families of Hoboken with the NFL Youth Football Fund's support and wish them a great time at the Giants-Patriots game on September 2."
