hMAG's 1-Year Anniversary Bash

hMAG's 1-Year Anniversary Party was held at the Elks Club this past Saturday, November 20th and was a HUGE success! The hMAG team and 275+ guests partied the night away in the hall-turned-hot spot. Guests included friends, family, Hoboken residents and advertisers and special guests: Mrs. New Jersey United States 2010, Claire Pavlinec, and Kim G. from The Real Housewives of NJ!

hMAG truly knows how to throw a party – the event lasted from 7-midnight, but guests came early and partied well into the night! With an open bar provided by liquor sponsors Vision Vodka and Hoboken Vine, four bartenders served up concoctions to guests all evening. Along with the open bar, a selection of free food was provided by The Melting Pot, Energy Kitchen, Yuko’s Sushi, Elysian Café, The Taco Truck, and Vito’s Deli. Carlo’s Bakery also provided three delicious cakes emblazoned with hMAG covers and logos for guests to enjoy.

The party kicked off from 7-9 with Marcus Bennett, whose band played a number of cover songs to get the crowed going. The headline band for the night was Kangaroo Jones – who, along with playing some original jams, played songs by Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews Band, The Ramones, Elvis, Kid Rock, Paul Simon, Charlie Daniels Band, and Cream (plus many more). The crowd enjoyed both bands and danced the night away as hMAG celebrated its first birthday.

Aside from hMAG's Anniversary Bash, every month hMAG will be having a free hMIXER at an advertiser's venue to support local businesses because, after all, hMAG is all about the community. All proceeds from hMAG mixers go directly to the bar or restaurant catering the event. Every hMIXER is featured in an "EventPix" page in an issue of hMAG and on hmag.com.
