Looking for a great outing for the family, friends or your office? The Foundation for Hospital Art might be what you’re looking for. The Foundation meets bi-monthly at The Hoboken University Medical Center to paint pre-designed, color coded patterns of artwork to be donated for the walls of needy Hospitals all over the world. The Foundation is run by Scott Feight whose father started the organization in 1984. The goal is to simply help make someone’s hospital stay a little brighter.
If you’re not an artist, no worries. I brought my 3 and 5 years olds and they loved it. Granted, they didn’t stay in the lines too often but that’s ok. The Foundation touches up the artwork after to ensure it looks good. The Foundation is open to all and can create custom painting parties for organizations, companies, sports teams or whomever might want a great team-building experience.
Joe Burt from Hoboken University Medical Center has teamed up with the Foundation to offer the space to hold the painting sessions at the hospital. The local chapter is run by Husband and Wife team of Win & Junko Trainor.
