HoBOOken 5K and Scary Scurry Kids' Run
Date: October 30, 2010
Where: Pier A
Time: 10AM
Details about the race: This first annual HoBOOken Halloween 5K and Scary Scurry Kids’ Run was produced by the Hoboken Elysianettes to benefit Project Play.
The Elysianettes is Hoboken's womens' running group whose mission is to create a welcoming and supportive environment for women who are already runners or want to become runners. The race took place on a crip and sunny morning along the Hoboken waterfront right before Halloween.
With over 1,100 5K finishers and 150 children participating, over $20,000 was raised for Project Play (to support renovations and replace playground equipment in Church Square Park). For more race info: HoBOOken5k@gmail.com
