Walking into a bar, most locals have no problem mindlessly ordering a draft beer; but how about a glass a wine? Zita Keeley -- wine educator, consultant and blogger -- brings her insight and expertise here to Hoboken at the Melting Pot (100 Sinatra Drive). She’s eager to teach others how to enjoy wine to its fullest and not be deterred by a lack of familiarity. Currently in the midst of writing a book and planning a television show to boot, Zita notes with a laugh, "It’s just fermented grape juice."
Her six-week class covers the gamut, from wine tasting and meal pairing to the history of wine and how to buy, serve and store it. In each class, participants will sample a variety of wines and, at the end of the course, will be awarded a certificate of completion.
