Things heated up Thursday night as dozens of hMAG friends gathered at Sammy’s Roadhouse for the latest mixer, which was sponsored by the Hoboken Rotary Club and the Hoboken Homeless Shelter.
The atmosphere was festive as Sammy’s staff served complimentary appetizers to all in attendance. While we are a week away from the holiday season, guests embraced the spirit of giving and generously donated funds for the Hoboken Homeless Shelter.
New Jersey Devils Defenseman Mark Fraser came out to show his support.
“I think this is a great event,” said Fraser. “It is so important to provide for people in the neighborhood.”
The 50/50 raffle brought more surprises, as the winner, hMAG CCO Kevin Cale, graciously gave back his winnings to the Hoboken Homeless Shelter.
“It’s great that we have support from people like Kevin – who was generous enough to donate all the earnings to a good cause,” remarked Fraser. “I’m happy the event was a success.”
Chris Mackin, president of the Hoboken Rotary Club, also attended the charity event. He thanked Hoboken residents for showing their support.
The feeling of community lasted well into the night. Many stayed late to catch up with friends new and old, while grooving to the live music.
So until next time Hoboken, hope to see you at the next mixer! Join the crew!
Every month hMAG will be having a free hMIXER at an advertiser's venue to support local businesses because, after all, hMAG is all about the community. All proceeds from hMAG mixers go directly to the bar or restaurant catering the event. Every hMIXER is featured in an "EventPix" page in an issue of hMAG and on hmag.com. To get involved in our monthly hMIXERs as a venue or co-sponsor or for more information, please contact info@hmag.com.
