Walking into Hoboken’s Revival Vintage Boutique was like walking into a colorful dream that transported me on a journey back in time. Visiting this antique paradise is well worth the hike out to 47 Harrison Street. I almost felt as if the experience of traveling through the space and marveling at its décor was every bit as important as what I wanted to purchase. Having said that, there is plenty to purchase.
Revival Vintage features 3,000 square feet of men’s and women’s vintage clothing and accessories —from belts, pins, gloves, and scarves to 1960s sheath dresses, suit jackets, ties, and cowboy boots. The showroom is separated by style of item, but also by color; red dresses, hats, and skirts displayed in tandem along the left wall of the store with the “green section” situated further along to the right.
I was especially impressed by Revival Vintage’s hat selection, but clearly the most exciting item for sale was the 1969 jukebox, priced at $1,200, which featured selections from Bobby Darin, Elvis, and Hoboken’s very own musical star: Frank Sinatra.
