I’m pretty sure a lot of us had this idea in our heads at some point in the past 2 years but e never followed through with it. Angela Meyers, of Elizabeth, NJ got the idea a few years ago when her and her husband took their German Sheppards to the beach and went to the ice cream truck, dogs in tow. While Angela and her husband ate their treats, the dogs wanted in on the action too. Knowing lactose wasn’t in a dog’s diet, Angela let them have a lick and at the same time the feels and whistles went off and now her idea is a reality, a successful one too.
Parked next to Church Square Park on weekends from the late morning until the early morning, The Frosty Pooch can be found nestled on 4th street opposite O’Nieals. The truck, decorated to look just like an ice cream truck for humans only caters to animals, there are 0 human treats aboard. For your 4 legged friend there is a wide array of treats for sale such as Yoghund frozen yogurts, Mrs. Barksmiths fruity smoothies and cookies. The Frosty Pooch also offers fetch toys, rubber balls, tug of war ropes and numerous ChukIt products. Moderately priced from just $3 for yogurt, the truck is definitely worth checking out.
