When I’m relaxing, I can think of nothing better than spending time with friends while sipping a delicious drink. In Hoboken, the options abound, even for those craving something different.

When I search out the perfectly blended cocktail, I look for fresh ingredients, muddled fruit, and please – shake it like you mean it! For all that, I usually turn to the martini. The Fig Cocktail, the signature drink of the newly opened Fig Tree on Park Avenue, blends Figenza Fig Vodka, fig puree, honey and is topped with sparkling wine. Blended, shaken and poured into a martini glass, the rich red color of the fig drink looks slightly decadent.

This not too sweet blend of figs and vodka has an earthy taste to it. A perfect drink to sip slowly while enjoying the ambiance of this upscale restaurant. It’s also a great date place. So why not impress yours and explain that figs are really inverted flowers?
