JACK’S CABIN GOES DARK: Local Favorite in SW Hoboken Closes Down

As first reported by Hoboken Happy Hours, it seems Jack’s Cabin (61 Jackson Street) has closed due to, “a year long battle against our Landlord.”

For nearly the past five years, Jack’s Cabin has been an outpost in the rapidly developing Southwest corner of Hoboken. Celebrated by regulars and newcomers alike, the bar/restaurant served up terrific food and solid cocktails. The growth in that area—including the new park that opened just months ago and the forthcoming redevelopment of the Hoboken Business Center—all painted a bright future for the warm and friendly tavern.

However, the property had been listed for sale according to local real estate sources. At this time, there is no word on the future of 61 Jackson or any plans for Jack’s Cabin, which had once branched out to open Jack & Co. on 7th & Willow.

***EDITOR’S NOTE: The staff and management at Jack’s Cabin were among the best in town—always making an effort to positively impact the Hoboken community via numerous initiatives. They were doing it right, and it’s very disappointing to see this happen yet again to a popular and seemingly successful local business. -CMH***
