CITY OF WATER DAY: Celebrations Taking Place at Hoboken’s Maxwell Place Park

There’s a river right there in front of us—may as well make the most of it…

The City of Water Day Festival is a free day-long celebration of the world-class potential of the water that surrounds us and brings us together. Held on Governors Island, New York and Maxwell Place Park in Hoboken, New Jersey, the event draws thousands of people from throughout the New York-New Jersey metropolitan region to participate in hundreds of unique, fun, and educational waterfront activities organized by the Waterfront Alliance  and its over 800 Alliance Partners.

Events run between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, July 16. Highlights of City of Water Day activities include free boat tours; the Con Edison Cardboard Kayak Race; free rowing, kayaking, and paddle-boarding; and the Waterfront Activity Fair.
