In a ceremony at Hoboken’s Elysian Park today, at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we all gathered to honor our service veterans.

With comments from Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla, Hoboken American Legion Post 107 Commander John Carey, Post Finance Officer Mark Villamar—plus Vincent Wassman‘s recitation of “Flanders Field” and a marvelous essay from the winner of this year’s Hoboken Veterans Day contest—this year’s event was was a poignant reminder that we’re all part of something bigger than ourselves…
