Hoboken Redwings Girls JV Lacrosse Set to Face-Off for Spring 2016

With the generosity of the Hoboken Lacrosse Club and several donors, the Board of Education has gladly approved the first Hoboken Redwings Girls JV Lacrosse Team—set to take the field this March. Go Redwing Laxers!

The Redwing Laxers will be coached by Joanne Deni, a Hoboken High School Physical Education Teacher who played lacrosse at The College of New Jersey. She previously coached girls’ lacrosse at Bernard’s High School in Bernardsville, New Jersey. Joanne is also an accomplished athlete and a Cross Fit Trainer here in Hoboken.

Derek England, Hoboken High School Athletic Director, is very excited about adding the JV Girls Lacrosse Team to the spring athletic offerings and giving student athletes a chance to learn, develop and compete in a new sport at the school. To date, 31 freshmen, sophomore and junior girls have signed up. The Hoboken High School Athletic Department looks forward to the addition of a Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team and a Boys JV Lacrosse Team in the spring of 2017.
