OH, THE HUMANITY… – Proposed Wage Hike May Force New Jersey Residents to Pump Our Own Gas

According to New Jersey Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno, “If we pass the $15 minimum wage, you’re pumping your own gas.”

The Republican was speaking to the New Jersey Gasoline – Convenience Store – Automotive Association (NJGCA) regarding the proposed $15 minimum wage.

“Minimum wage was never intended, in my mind, to provide a living wage,” Guadagno said, according to NorthJersey.com. “It won’t, not in New Jersey. So let’s make minimum wage what it’s supposed to be, and that is a stepping stone up.”

According to NJGCA Vice President Joe Ocello, “Fifteen dollar-an-hour minimum wage, if it does go that route, we’re going to be forced to go self-service because we can’t afford to keep doing what we’re doing.”

First they hike our gas tax… now they want us to pump it ourselves?
