Residents Evacuated Following Weekend Fire on Jackson Street

According to NJ.com, a fire forced the evacuation of 310 Jackson Street, part of the Hoboken Housing Authority.

Officers responded to a call at approximately 11:30 pm on Saturday, assisting in the evacuation of residents. The fire is reported to have been caused by a trash compactor within the building.

Some of the first-responders were among those treated for smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
