Humorist/hMAG Cover Model Adam Wade will take the stage at the People’s Improv Theatre (123 E24th Street, NYC) Saturday night, telling the story of “Marie“—his landlady here in Hoboken for the past six years.

“She’s been here most of her life,” says Wade. “Her sister lives on the first floor, she lives on the second floor and I live on the third.”

Every Sunday Marie cooks, and Wade gets his plate via a knock on the door.

“Usually you put a story on facebook, you get five or six likes. Marie would cook for me on Sundays, I’d post it and get 100 likes—so I started writing about it and I put the blog together. “
Wade’s “Sunday’s With Marie” blog is a spectacular chronicle of the dichotomy of old and new Hoboken—the twist being that they both get along so well.

“A lot of my stories have to do with celebrating good people who have good hearts, and she’s definitely one of them—just a very, very sweet person.”

On Saturday night, Wade will bring “Marie & Me: Love & Meatballs” to the stage.

The show is at 7:30. TICKETS are $10.
