The Riverview Farmers Market returns to Jersey City Heights this Sunday, May 6 from 10 a.m to 3 p.m.

Organized by Farms in the Heights—a grassroots, 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization established to provide access to local food systems, grow our local economy, and promote environmental stewardship for the benefit of all Jersey City Heights community members—the Market is a community-supported, producer-focused farmers market, offering a wide range of market vendors and goods.

The Farms in the Heights board is a diverse group of neighbors and friends from the Jersey City Heights community who share Farms in the Heights’ philosophy and goals. All volunteers, they are the driving force behind the Riverview Farmers Market and other Farms in the Heights programming, including Ogden’s End Community Garden.

In addition to a wide range of vendors, the Market includes a number of activities.

This week:

11:00 am: Beloved World Yoga outdoor yoga class (donation-based)
11 am-1 pm: free kids’ activities, including face-painting, crafts, and bubble fun, with JCFamilies
11 am-1 pm: Compost collection for Riverview Community Garden – RCG
11:30: Welcome remarks from the Farms in the Heights board and special guests
